The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield - juicy, saga of a totally messed up family.
A Year in the World by Frances Mayes - travelogue of a chica with some serious wanderlust.
The Host by Stephenie Meyer - I don't know if you're into the whole Twilight thing, but if you're looking for something a little less teeny-bopper ish this one is aimed towards the adult crowd.
Madness: A Bipolar Life by Marya Hornbacher - totally effed up story of this chick that's anorexic and bipolar.
That's awesome, I would also recommend The Thirteenth Tale and A Year in the World! SO much. Also: Fallen Skies by Philippa Gregory (my favourite author) People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks The Red Leather Diary by Lily Koppel
